Scripture Union Burundi (SU Burundi) organized a training for 79 volunteer preachers, divided across the country's various branches. This training aimed to enhance the participants' skills in preparing and delivering clear, structured, and impactful sermons.

The training program focused on the importance of understanding and properly structuring biblical messages, emphasizing the relevance of each point developed in the sermon and the call to action at the end of the message. Participants had the opportunity to apply these teachings through practical presentations, followed by constructive feedback from fellow preachers and the facilitator.

The facilitator, Pastor Safari, emphasized the importance of continuous practice in becoming effective preachers and encouraged participants to work together to improve their skills. He also reminded them that the best preachers have no secrets but are faithful to God's Word and regularly practice.

Nsengiyumva Hilaire, Volunteer from the Southern branch, said, “I had spent a lot of time preaching, and people would praise me saying that I was doing it well, but after participating in this training, I realized that I wasn't yet at a good level. I am now going to start over because I discovered many mistakes I was making while thinking I was doing well.”

This training allowed SU Burundi volunteers to grow spiritually and acquire practical tools to serve their communities better. It reinforced the commitment of preachers in their mission to proclaim the Gospel while highlighting the positive impact that SU Burundi has in preparing Christian leaders in the country.
