Scripture Union Burundi experiences great joy of providing Bibles to Bible club members who previously could not afford one because of extreme poverty. Scripture Union Burundi has repeatedly observed that both bible group members and their leaders did not often own their Bibles, which hindered their spiritual growth.
They have zeal to know and serve the Lord but they are often obliged to borrow a Bible from friends or family members to read the Holy Scriptures. Thanks to the Bible project, 1000 members of the Bible clubs have received Bibles and can now read them whenever and wherever they want.
The benefit is that the given bible is useful to the owner, schoolmates and to the family.
Sarah is a student in the southern region and she had been longing to own her Bible but she couldn't afford to buy one. She decided to copy her Bible into her notebook. She was at the book of Exodus when we gave her a Bible at a low cost. She was extremely excited to possess her own Bible and no longer in need to copy it by hand. We thank the Lord for various partners who help us realize our project of providing Bibles to people like Sarah
